The objective of the Fast Fiction Friday exercise is to write with complete focus on the given subject. One of the best ways to accomplish this task is to write for a set amount of time, without distractions and without editing. Let the words flow from your mind to the paper and ignore self doubt and outside issues. The goal is to become so addicted to writing that you can't help but do it! All writers are welcome whether you write short stories, poems, memoirs, non-fiction, essays or a personal journal. Feel free to share your work or link back.

One of my favorite writing activities is to come up with writing prompts and watch as others create fantastic stories, poems or even create journal entries about memories sparked by the prompt.

Of course, I also enjoy coming up with my own creations!

Quite some time ago I created the Fast Fiction Friday prompts for a writing site called Wordtrip and thought it would be nice to place them into a blog format for people to utilize whenever they wish (I still post on WT from time to time)

Here I will create new prompts with the occasional re-posting of older prompts. Most of them, however, will be new.
Feel free to use these prompts for your own writing. I encourage you to log on and make comments to the prompts, but that is not necessary. You can even post your finished product here under the particular prompt or 'like' us on Facebook and post there Fast Fiction Friday
